Flying Dutchman Class two man, single trapeze monohull.
Built of cold moulded plywood for Thomas Hardy (4th), and named "Hermitage".
Sailing with Mark Bethwaite, this boat won the 1972 national Flying Dutchman Championships, and represented Australia at the 1974 IOC regatta when Flying Dutchmans were still an Olympic class.
The boat is in reasonable condition however requires much TLC.
All fittings have been removed and come with the boat: including mast, rudder, centreboard, blocks and tackle.
All brightwork requires sanding back and re-varnishing.
Transom requires considerable work.
Fibreglassing of hull recommended.
Current owner had all intentions of refurbishing and getting her back on the water, however we have two "modern" Flying Dutchmans.
A majestic boat, with heart and soul, perfect for someone looking for a project boat, to turn into a majestic day sailor.
Unfortunately no trailer.
